Why does it feel like I have less time than I did before? I thought I would have so much more free time with the schoolbus picking up Delaney. Peapod doing the shopping for me... I thought I was simplifying...
Rhetorical/random answer/s:
1. shit happens, examples: dog gets hit by car, take dog to vet, dog ok; clean up messy toy-strewn house, kid tornadoes hit it, repeat; 1.5 hour meeting actually lasts 6 !; dog pees in house, clean up, repeat; WTF!!
Also, I guess by simplifying, I am adding more activities in my "free time" space.
We have been going to the library every 3-4 days. I -heart- the Mansfield Library + the videos (especially the 1978-9 season of SNL) + the knitting and crochet books. I have been cooking a whole hell-of-a-lot-more in my gluten freedom! he he. cupcakes, brownies, bread, stuffing, it is so liberating.
ps. did I tell you I scored a kitchen aid icecream maker for $17!?!? Macy's - on sale $100 down to $80. Gift card left over from our wedding (3 years ago - no, I don't get out much), the sales associate scanned in an extra coupon - in the end I paid $17. Can you say excited. We all had peach icecream - peaches from the coventry farmer's market.
What I am thankful for:
My family, my friends, everyone's good health, the security of having employment with health benefits.
Excited that we will be going to VT for a few days to visit a great friend.

Insert Title Here
There are so many times I have formulated a post in my head, but then did not want to expose myself or family matters in this public of a setting.
So I will now proceed to insert activities my family and I have been doing, along with my crafty obsessions and projects.
First off, Baby Growing News:
She has started on cereal. Her bottom toofer is just breaking through. And all she does is smile.

I have an endoscopy scheduled for the middle of August to do a biopsy for an official diagnosis - ? Celiac. The bloodwork and genetics back it up, and so do the symptoms, we will know for sure soon.
A bit of health drama happening on the various generations of the in-law side. Barrett's Esophagus, a trip to the hospital, but everything is ok now.
I am in love with the Coventry Farmer's Market Nasturshum's in my salad greens, so fresh and tasty. Kettle Korn The package says on it "Warning - highly addictive substance" and they're not f***ing around. I love how we can just go and wander and sample.
This morning, blueberry picking with Mada. Sun, branches so laden with plump blueberries they bent to the ground. Yum!
I will be making these as soap holder/scrubbies. I am now obsessed with her happy colors and fun things on her site, check them out.
Knitting news: almost done sewing up the seams on the Drops Cardi, need to find good horn buttons. I also started the Melon Scarf from Victorian Lace Today. I am enjoying it so far, and not bored at all yet. 20 out of 60ish repeats!
Finished this today too!

Looking forward to seeing a dear friend on Monday, sounds like she is in just as bad of a rut as I am. I love her for so many reasons - the fact that no matter how long it has been since we have seen each other, we pick up as if we had never been separated; I love that we have a history with each other, which contributes to the profound trust I have with her; I can't wait to give her a hug.

Random Commentary
I hate it when I can't get my camera out fast enough to document these events occurring.
- On our way up to Webs, Mom and I spied a plumbing contractor's pick up with the following motto, "A dry crack is a happy crack." My FIL with chronic hemorrhoids appreciated that one. (and yes, I did have to spell-check hemorrhoids)
- An SUV pulling into the "local" McDonald's with a bumper sticker stating "Localvore." Hmpf.
- Have any of you seen that holiday/Christmas Enzyte commercial ? Enzyte is a "natural male enhancement" thing/drug/supplement. The advertizing made comments that bordered on downright dirty. Something along the lines of "what you have in your sack" and visuals of all the women lining up to sit on his lap.
Total yuck!
